Fuguchiri-nabe (blowfish stew) is also known as the king of hot pots.
The rich flavor of the thick, plump puffer fish is enhanced by the other ingredients and seasonings.
Especially good with ponzu: 🙆♀️
We use homemade ponzu (Japanese citrus juice).
The name "chirinabe" is said to have come from the way the fish fillet shrinks into a fine, crispy ball when it is placed in the pot.
To finish, rice is added to the broth that has soaked up the fugu's delicious flavor, and the rice is then tossed with an egg to create fugu zosui!
